Sean John clothing is a fashion brand created for every aspect of life. Founded by Sean (P. Diddy) Combs, his idea was to fill the urban market with clothing that shows sophistication and style. But now the line has transcended the urban market to international status because of its quality and style. 
Based in New York City, Sean John Clothing has received critical and commercial success. Comb’s clothing line has gone from an urban label to an international brand thanks to the support of both the fashion community and retailers. While Combs was building his line, he was looking to reflect his own diverse style.
Geared to men of all ages, Sean John clothing includes shirts, jeans, hoodys, jackets, suits, and the signature fragrance Unforgivable. A women’s clothing line was later added to the brand which has become the essence of trendy in the world of urban, pop, and hip hop clothes.
The Sean John clothing line was nominated in 2000 for the Council of Fashion designers of America Award for menswear designer of the year. Marc Jacobs won that year, but it pushed the Sean John line into a very privileged position with other famous designers. Again in 2001, P. Diddy Combs was nominated.
Sean John says he owes his motivation to his family. His grandmother, who was a seamstress in Harlem, taught him the fundamentals of sewing. His mother, who had given herself the title of “shopaholic”, gave him the inspiration and vision to someday create his own clothing line. His uncle George, who had a flair for style, taught Combs to be fashion savvy.
Hip hop clothing has staked a claim in today’s fashion. Urban clothing has certainly evolved over the years to include a wide array of styles.
